What is the PNP Entrance Exam?
The PNP Entrance Exam is the National Police Commission's qualifying exam for people who want to join the Philippine National Police. Passing it earns you the eligibility you need to be appointed as a Patrolman or Patrolwoman.
NAPOLCOM gives it on the same day as the PNP Promotional Exam (PROMEX) and the Police Executive Service eligibility exam. In the April 2026 exam, 9,224 examinees passed the PNP Entrance Exam.

- Civilians who are 21 to 30 years old on the day of the exam
- Graduates of any four-year bachelor's degree, not only criminology
- Patrolmen and Patrolwomen with temporary appointments who don't yet have the required eligibility
Height requirement: to be appointed to the PNP, men must be at least 1.57 meters tall and women at least 1.52 meters, under Republic Act 11549.
